Bibleworld

The Kilsyth and District Churches Working Together are bringing the Scottish Bible Society’s Bibleworld Mobile to Kilsyth from Monday 22 March to Wednesday 31 March 2010 in Lidl's car park.

The Bibleworld Mobile is a trailer classroom which travels around the UK. We are extremely grateful to Lidl Kilsyth in allowing us to park the forty five foot classroom in their car park.

The intention of this venture is not to teach Bible stories to children, but to help them explore the depth of the Bible narrative for themselves. The Bibleworld Mobile workshop programme contains 6 curriculum centred activity zones and is written with Primary 5 to Secondary 1 in mind

To make this venture possible the Bibleworld workforce, the staff of the schools involved and their chaplains work together in making up a timetable for the children who will visit this extra-ordinary classroom. We are extremely grateful for the enthusiasm of the Head Teachers and staff of the following schools who are involved: Balmalloch Primary, Banton Primary, Chapelgreen Primary, Kilsyth Primary, St. Patrick’s Primary, Twechar Primary and Kilsyth Academy.

We need you to do two things:

  • Pray for God to move powerfully among the children and their teachers
  • We need people who are disclosed to volunteer to assist us. If you can get involved and you are disclosed speak to Peter Duncan or Bill Aitken and let them know.
